Martyn Keates – Martyn trained in the profession in the early 80’s before moving into industry to gain some valuable experience as ‘the MD’s right hand man’ in various companies. Having been finance director of a variety of SME’s, including heading up the EMEA finance team of a $60 million consulting company, he then decided to set up his own accounting practice where he could offer more than traditional ‘compliance’ work for clients. The additional knowledge of running businesses has helped contribute to the success of clients as he often acts as a part-time Finance Director for them.
Marcos Lashley – Marcos joined JK Accountancy in the second half of 2016. With a desire to embark on an accounting career path he was taken on as a mature apprentice and has made massive personal and professional progress in addition to adding lots of value to the business. He was Apprentice of the Year in 2016/17 and has achieved his AAT qualification with outstanding results.
Maryanne Smith – Maryanne joined JK Accountancy in November 2018 to gain experience in bookkeeping whilst working in a children’s nursery 4 days per week. The experience gained helped her achieve Level 1 and Level 2 bookkeeping at the first time of asking.
Harry Dewing – Harry came to JK Accountancy as a first year University student from Warwick University to gain some office experience and discover how an accounting business works. He excelled himself in his first few days and took on some challenging bookkeeping tasks which he accomplished exceptionally well.
Marje Owen – Marje, an Estonian national, accepted a work experience role at JK Accountancy in July 2019. She has studied for bookkeeping at Farnborough College and manages to juggle part time college, full time mother of two and working in her busy schedule. She brings some exceptional language skills to JK Accountancy!
